I love the egyptian temples. You painted them so fantastically. I have been to Luxor on the West Bank many times. My favorite place was the Ramesseum!

One of the first paintings I did for Raya, obviously, the dragon design is not the Sisu of today. I loved the idea of sunken temples, and a dragon deity that other water creatures might want to follow.

In 1654, in a discussion of breaking asylum in ancient temples, Francis Rous used the same phrase.

He wrote that, once granted asylum, a person was safe forever "unlesse they made a fire, and burnt him out of the hole, as we use to do eeles."

Or...you know...priests. 3/4

Those dragon designs OOF. I know it's not an original complaint but I remember going to the Balinese temples when I was a kid and being in AWE of those wild-eyed stone dragons/serpents

The Disney designs are so painfully commercialized it's horrible🙄

in 375 BCE the temple of Juno Lucina was dedicated on the Esquiline Hill. This temple was in use until at least the imperial period.

Prior to the temple's construction, worship took place in a sacred grove on the site.

Starting tomorrow, explorers will be able to face foes from different temples in the same place and browse a special assortment of the three Temples.

Good luck with avoiding fire and dodging poison attacks at the same time 😏!

Cats are one of the most revered animals in mythology, especially in Egyptian mythology. So, to celebrate nothing better than an artwork of protector of homes and temples.

Ritual of the Whip Sting (#Calistria)

Most temples try to hold a session during this month. Priests mediate and bring bitter enemies to a public vengeance, after which both must swear to be satisfied and consider the feud at an end. https://t.co/xq7oxIRaN9

Before anyone asks- he keeps his glasses on by jamming them really hard on his snout. I definitely wasn't too lazy to try to fit the temples around his ears.
He would normally have horns but I forgot them and couldn't add them without it looking weird

The 1st Sage was Uanna. He explained to the people how to read & write & how to do mathematics, found temples, make laws, plant seeds, & astronomy. He also explained to the 1st humans* how they must aid in the marriage of the Earth & the Sky.

LORD SHIVA'S CURSE and the only 6 standing TEMPLES of LORD BRAHMA in India.

Out of the holy trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh it is Brahma who is not widely worshipped. There are different accounts regarding the why of it!
