OLD ART (cont.) - now it's the end of 2015 and I've now gotten my Huion tablet monitor so these represent my first decent attempts to use it to draw in Clip Studio Paint, Man-At-Arms, Speedy Ceviche (Samurai Pizza Cats!) in 2015, G1 Megatron, & a He-Man redesign attempt from 2016

First couple attempts at drawing Shadow in a way I like. Sonic characters are fun since you can rly play around with how stylized/anthro they are✌️

About four failed attempts later I did a decent looking Ny & Charybdis art again ♥ For now it's only the sketch and base colours, still working on it.
Will I get myself a fantasia someday just to make Chary's skintone darker? You bet I will.

“Hmph, when I was in a small capsule, that avenger nearly crushed me to dust. Additionally, she takes away my hat and attempts to provoke me.”

Z crossed her arms, pouting, mumbling to herself as her cheeks squished.
(“If gwiven an oppwortunity, I would swash her myswelf...”)

I'm a writer so don't usually share my own attempts at art, but I hopefully won't delete this!

Some different lighting attempts, not sure which I like more, I just like the colours.

I love Rough with purple hair so much. I think I actually considered giving him purple hair back when I first designed him, but my low skills in creating nice colorshemes always ruined my attempts.
But I have plans of still making it a canon part of his design in his future 👀

This originally started as practise to change up my style and try a painterly look. Those attempts were not too successful.

I decided to give it one more go, this time in my usual style and aiming for more accuracy.

Huh, I thought I'd done more of these. Anyway, I think these are all my spitpaint attempts from January. Tried some new techniques, challenged some old ways, identified seemingly endless things to learn and improve. A promising start to 2021 despite, um, *gestures at everything*.
