If I was chancellor I'd be looking at all of those people (like many of my friends) whose incomes haven't been affected & haven't been able to spend as much this year & working out how we could ensure they spend all of that spare money buying my books.

“How’s life treating you?”

I’m thrilled with the progress being made on Eyes on the Road (the novel I’m coauthoring with ).
Not so stoked about the lack of website sales for my other books. Amazon may have me licked. 😕

Speaking of such books, I've got back then as a gift Arthur Spiderwick's Field Guide to the Fantastical World Around You
and as well some of Slavic bestiary books. Always great inspiration to have, especially with lovely arts c:

There are so many beautiful kinds of families out there, and this is one book that opens that discussion with our children. We also appreciate that this book includes a foster family, which is still all too rare to find in children’s books.

I am PARTICULARLY proud of this one. Look at those books. Look at that lighting. Good job, me.

Took some time for myself over the weekend to practice. I’m trying to focus more on making art that makes me feel good instead of art that makes me look good. This sort of style always reminds me of my favourite childhood movies and storybooks. Very relaxing.

Taking advantage of what I *think* is a brief respite from fresh and terrible news to mention once again that I make books.
My newest is ON ACCOUNT OF THE GUM and this is one of its pages.
Okay, happy Sunday.
