A little correction though, the splash render is actually in cycles! That said, it's kind of a moot distinction; EEVEE's been proving great for final render's. Here's a side by side (I didn't even optimize it for eevee- just a few irradiance volumes). 10 min vs 10 seconds

Tip 1: Start with a background color that sets the mood of the piece. My Mitch on Purple referenced a piece with relatively normal lighting, but the purple paper gave it a distinctive look. I tried to play up areas of warm and cool light as I saw them in the ref.

The Goldfish Seller, by Wada Sanzo, 1939. A sign of early summer during the 19th to the 20th centuries. Itinerant salesmen would wander the streets of Edo/Tokyo with glass fish bowls, water, fish, and a distinctive high pitched call. They had mostly disappeared before 1980.

Great Characters

Another shining aspect about Aggretsuko, is the cast of characters. While they aren't as colorful as the rosters in other cartoons, they're all different and distinct from each other. There are 3 that I would like to discuss in detail.
