That first Pacific Rim movie was very good, had some really unique looking monsters, this fella is my favorite of them.
this texturing on the egg was something from a tutorial on leather armor i saw years ago. i did a few color dodge scribbles everywhere and lowered the opacity. also the gemstone seam/cracks was something i thought of while talking to tedi and thought it as fun
