finished my first playthrough of OMORI few days ago. I really love these types of RPGMaker games and I've been waiting for this one for a LONGG while. It's really beautiful both visually and narratively. please play it.

I spent 3-4 weeks floundering on this old version. I hadn’t learned enough about visual hierarchy or narrative and ended up scrapping it. To revive that old idea I gave myself a deadline to finish the piece in 25 hours of working blocks, across 5 days.

I always hear Misaki fans dislike Mikoto and honestly I cannot relate.

I love Mikoto! She's genuinely awesome!

Her confidence, her cocky attitude, her wisdom, her tsundere side that actually DO have real human flaws on her character are beautiful to see unfold in the narrative.

finished the Sci-Fi chapter, a conceptually interesting hybrid of Alien and 2001 that's really an interactive narrative with JRPG sprites (very much like Corpse Party). surprisingly atmospheric and tense despite the squat characters and limited environments. and no battles!
