This game draws heavy inspiration from it and truly feels like a new writers love letter to past ACG series like Nier and DMC specifically.

The layers on the top I love! It feels kinda like petals which goes with your current design!

But the color range is very different I will say maybe try some yellow accents like the charms on the arm to accent the purple more.

With this one, I think the main issue is your brush. The inconsistent lines make it difficult to look at somewhat. It feels like it should be watercolor, but it's not (aside from parts of the background), which makes it look rough and unpolished.
