Now I start adding color. I keep the desired color scheme in my head at this point and simply try to stick to my tonal sketch. Might be useful for some people to make a color sketch as well but I have a very intuitive color picking process (called “it just looks good”)

Here's an example of me using AI art as inspiration. I have no issue with something like this. I would actually encourage this as the use case for AI vs. using it as a means to replace the creative process entirely.
