I thought I recognized this, it's from Klau's video, I have a tip for you, you won't learn anything from tracing and I wouldn't really class it as fan art either, if you want to draw I think you should start from the basics and not trace other peoples art

The tracing leads to something like the first image, then I define the direction of lighting, base colors, and then just polish.
(btw one cool thing about aseprite that can help you with small stuff is that it let's you keep a zoomed out version of the piece viewable on the side)
