I consider bad tracing as copying the art style and facial features as well as the pose where just tracing the pose is ok esp if you change it up a bit for instance this piece im working on was partially traced from black lagoon (its a wip sorry if it looks sus 😭)

I have never dealt with my art being copied/traced before. And even though the example may not be obviously traced, I still feel uncomfortable seeing anyone copying my work. No artist should need to worry about their work being copied. Thank you to those who informed me of this.

bringing this back: zun copy/pasted the faces of all 4 UM protagonists, only the eye color changes between them
it almost looks like he reused the face for 18.5, but he actually just drew something very similar, maybe he traced his own art?
