I spent some time in @affinitybyserif Publisher doing the layouts last night.
I made a set of pages featuring full-page abstract art.
One of the reasons I care so much about this is that my grandfather was a working artist from the early 1940s through the late 1960s.
He did work for publishers, ad agencies, and the US Navy during WWII.

My 3-step process for workin' on visual layout:
1. Layout text in Affinity Publisher, visualizing appropriate text boxes and image space. Export text.
2. Import into ProCreate and have fun playing with art! Export without text.
3. Import art into Affinity Publisher, behind text.
