@hmillustration My 'thumbnails' end up being somewhere in between thumbnails and full-sized roughs. These were about 14cm across, and ended up being good enough to go to final art with feedback. I feel like they're SO messy in comparison to your roughs!

@Gusbuckets Here’s a few more with dramatic lighting! When illustrating my goal is to work within the client’s deadline and to their budget. I do thumbnails, roughs, color roughs and a final taking the client’s input through the whole process. I can get you multiple sized files and formats!
The two techniques I use the most for figuring out designs are "markers first" and quick thumbnails. Both methods allow for free exploration without stressful commitment. I especially love "markers first" because it just feels so loose, allowing me to stay relaxed while thinking.
