Following the success of Batman Black and White, and with a nod to the red and blue costumes, DC published Superman Red and Blue in 2021.
In 2016, I opted for red and yellow to make the two most dramatic elements, the cape and shield, pop in the largely black and white comic

to give it a sense of unity you can add a final multiply layer to the whole thing and play with gradients / erase some parts to make more dramatic lightings (this is all very fast for the sake of the tutorial youd need to give it a bit more detail) hope it helps!

The backdrop for the scene (cliffs at sunset) is both dramatic and (ironically) romantic. This is enhanced by JRJR’s use of hot pink colour shade panels as well as Piotr’s tendency to stare out across the endless water, while struggling to make eye contact with Kitty. 2/10
