Take a look at, say, SRB2. They had to hand design a lot of environments and environmental assets, pick great color schemes that account for both looking nice as well as being clear enough for gameplay purposes.

It's visually appealing, fun to look at, and fun to play.

Tried these two & really liked them.
I also attempted to read Antique Bakery & WDYEY? but quickly realized Fumi Yoshinaga’s style didn’t appeal to me personally.
I tend to look at your recs for less popular titles cause we (mostly) have the same taste.

My kids slept last night... That gave me time to finally sit down and try drawing in procreate. I usually use affinity designer. I still prefer AD but I can see the appeal of this program.

i mean i dont think this cover being unrealistic is a problem tbh. i just find it sorta unappealing. like how her entire midriff (is that what its called?) looks like a photoshop edit to make someone look thinner.
