I can understand how you feel about shading. I usually try and use a trick similar to G1 cell shading to kind of cheat with robotic characters. It comes with varying results but sometimes it's the best I can do lol.

So on Sunday my players went back to a statue of a petrified elven woman who turned out to be a rare dark elf from 500-something years ago. The party's sorcerer-turned-warlock didn't like the fact she was the one who made a holding cell for a royal air elemental.
