I really like this Samus concept. I think it does a great job at walking the line between her Fusion Suit and old style Varia. That being said, I'm glad they went with Dread's suit design, and kept it more interesting by making it "new."

If anyone of you want to get into Metroid I highly recommend the Metroid Manga. A must read if you want better context of Prologue of Samus' Story. There are english translation of it already available so don't worry about not being able to find it.

Dang. Does Metroid Dread begin with Samus turning to the camera and saying "Hey kids! Make sure to set up adblock before visiting Kotaku or PC Gamer. They don't deserve money"?

This game is amazing. This scene had me laughing a lot and i pictured Samus like this through it.
Keeping it vague so it doesn't spoil people however.
If you know, you know

Part of the charm of the Metroid series has always been its atmosphere, character/creature design, and just overall aesthetic. Take a look at how Samus Aran's designs have evolved over the last 35 years.
