11. Dazzler vs. Juggernaut (Uncanny 217-218) Juggernaut always just shows up minding his own business and the X-Men freak out pick a big huge fight with him. Juggernaut is like "wow, Dazzler I'm your biggest fan" and Dazzler is like "I will destroy you to prove my worth"

10. Kill the Beyonder (Uncanny 202-203) Claremont and JRJR aren't particularly known for "cosmic" but they GO FOR IT here. Kitty uses Illyana's Soul Sword, and Rachel mindlinks with every life form in the entire universe to beat some dude in a tracksuit. Big weird cosmic comics.

7. Duel (Uncanny 201) Storm and Cyclops fight to decide who will lead the X-Men and it ruins Cyclops's marriage. Leonardi does a ton of fill-in issue in this era but this the best one, Portacio inks, art ahead of its time. Kitty holds a baby. Rogue flirts with Ronald Reagan.

I can't believe my motivation to draw again was redrawing a pokemon as a fat spoiled ghost because the expressions are uncanny https://t.co/g0vcHNdYeG

4. Two Girls Out to Have Fun (Uncanny 189) Rachel and Magma go on a date ❤️. Leialoha's blocky inks are perfect for JRJR's blocky shapes and I wish they had done more work together. Claremont predicts 9/11 in this one. Great forgotten done-in-one issue.

1. The Brood Saga (Uncanny 154-167) This is the first really BIG long X-Men arc, pure Bronze Age sci-fi melodrama. Cockrum is a genius and he draws the hell out of these comics. I can't stress enough how underrated this whole story is.

It’s true. It would be their 58th anniversary this year since their first appearance in Uncanny X-Men in 1963!

Rereading Inferno and was reminded of the House of X 5 homage to Uncanny X-Men 242.

6). Uncanny
A significant issue, as the San Fran era really gets going here! That Alex Ross cover is of course a timeless classic, and the Michael Turner “X-Men MEN only” variant was a nice companion piece to the X-women one

If I could direct my own brand new Monkey Island game it'd be 99% Windwaker cel-shaded graphics with occasional sudden close-ups done in the most up-to-date possible RE7 uncanny photorealism

And the derg wonders why nobody trusts him.

Anyhoo started this a bit ago and felt like finishing it today, so have some uncanny valley vibes as this hell year comes to a close.
