It is a layered drawing in the sense that Yellowfang and the background are drawn by hand then I scanned in the flowers and layered all of it together in procreate. The background also has White Lilies and Lavender but you cant see them in the final image as much.

I was also trying out different kinds of modes to make the base shadows. I used a sorta lavender for the main color (2nd) and then selected Subtraction (3rd pic). Multiply (1st pic) didn't have it cuz it wasn't striking enough.
