Pixelart nerd alert, but I love looking at sprites from the same generation to see how the pixel artist is getting more comfortable working in 16 bit between RS (top row) and FRLG (Bottom row) The differences are subtle, but I think it shows a lot of improvement in between games

Study of boy Ogin. Took a screen from your process right before you went to color there haha. Probably the most important thing that (I think) I learned from it was that shading is done much lighter then I thought it was, and a lot of transitions are very very subtle

Since Ethan's game face is cosplay, it stood to reason I needed to design his "civilian" look. On top of the inspirations I mentioned elsewhere, I added some SUBTLE weeb references in his outfit. The man is a consummate dork.
