The spear Achilles is shown with looks way more like a partisan polearm than the kind of shape you’d typically see for a greek dory, especially with those protrusions on the sides used for parrying. Partisans came around in 16th century europe & became a more ceremonial spear!

I got a neat book detailing some of the multitude of Africa’s textile history across its regions. The trousers are based off trousers commonly worn by the Dorze People in Southern Ethiopia. Typically reserved for those that killed in battle, now used as general ceremonial gear.
