It’s funny how Donkey Kong’s design went from the image on the left to the image on the right all within the same year(1994)!

DKC and RareWare’s redesign ultimately re-invigorated the DK franchise. It’s iconic!

Everyone talks about its graphics, music and gameplay, but an aspect of that doesn't get lauded enough is its personality. Its snarky instruction manual, with Cranky even heckling the copyright and warranty pages, was unlike any Nintendo game of its era.
