people talk about my lines sometimes and i realized i've never shown you the thing i do with like every single picture so. duplicate the lines, blur the new one enough so that it's soft but not invisible, and set it to overlay on max opacity, before is left after is right

Oh thank you! It's one mesh that I duplicated and stuck into each other :) the texture is just mild AO and normal baked from my sculpt. Made this rock in a sculpting practise back in january so it's not optimized for this scene, but green vertex paint + grass on top help blending

What's more interesting is that there aren't supposed to be more joints between the hips and the leg. These joints are duplicated from REX's stabilizer mounts, for some reason.

The current model makes REX's legs look actually skinny and tall instead of short and beefy.

i drew many blobs and then i duplicated the layer but made it blurry (also added a gradient so it went from bright to dark) and changed the layer mode to add
then i went back to the blob layer and used a v v light air brush to draw back over them so that the front ones glow more
