I painted this last year and hadn't thought about it until recently. The black is gouache but all of the anatomy is mechanical pencil. I wanted to mess with the contrast of big sloppy brush strokes next to meticulous meditative hatching and see if I could create harmony. 11x17in

After messing up with a furry pink dog named Heartina, Boyfriend grows a second head after being given a (temporary) splitting headache.
The two heads have their own minds and conciousnesses, but their voices make a 2-part harmony.
