It was hard to design knuckles, because echidna's design had been already showed in movie. So I agonized a lot about how to make that design suitable for knuckles.

One thing I've always wondered about Sonic 3 & Knuckles.. is Sky Sanctuary ON Angel Island, or adjacent to it?? Cuz in a future arc in I want all the Heroes fighting off armies in Sky Sanctuary (think Age of Ultron), but its location always confused me

Well, I’m not even really good at drawing hands, I just really like stylizing them by making them thin, pale and with really red knuckles.
I’ve been told my hands look weird, so I felt like giving all of my characters weird hands.
