Here's 4 of my all-time favorites: Boman (Rival Schools), Duck King (Fatal Fury/KOFXI), Elena (SF3), Krizalid (KOF99/01)

Elena SF3 - About a 1/3 of the inspiration for Devanese comes from this character. Capoeira and Long legs. She was a pain to beat back in Street Fighter 3 because of her weird hurtbox and far reach. Do all long-legged characters have strange hurtboxes.

Just checked. The distributions for SF3 use the regular game icons. And the SF3 demo uses a different, low-quality icon.

for some reason, oro's second impact song has the word Dab in it, so it gave me a good idea for a dumbass drawing.

This was a hard one for me, but I eventually narrowed it down to these 4.

Jin Kazama (Tekken)
Ken (3rd Strike Ver.)
Sean Matsuda (SF3: 3rd Strike) https://t.co/wDl5VjGGpt

Dear Gen-Z
When Street Fighter III: Third Strike came out, much of my generation complained that Chun-li's legs were "too big" and "weird." But you all get it. You kids give me hope for the future 🙏✨

Don't think I've ever said this WIP picture of all the completed sprites together is supposed to be a homage to one of the SF3 TS cover arts... I do think the amount of characters in comparison makes it muddle a little bit though 😅

In the Japanese flyer for SF1, Ryu is described as a fighting genius who was trained in several styles. Later books described his style as "being based on Karate" (SF3), a mix of several styles (Zero 3) or "rooted in an assassin's fist" (SF4). 6/8
