Idk lol when I shade I go along the sides that would be shaded due to smthn covered/wrinkled over then blur it out, ofc it depends on the colours and I try to make it look natural as possible (I haven't drawn in a good couple months-this is my best example this was Jun 2, 2021)

i think less is more most of the time, i left a little too many highlights in this case. but i still went in with a hard white brush and added smaller highlights to the fabric wrinkles and areas around the edges just to make it look extra slick. and thats it.

Idk, for kits I give small limbs and big ol eyes of an anime chibis, for apprentices - just smaller adults with big eyes. For warriors - adults with smaller eyes, medium limbs, medium body. And elders - lots of wrinkles on the muzzle
