Since fossils don't preserve soft tissue, it's hard to tell what dinosaurs might have looked like. Many artists just leave off possible feathers, quills and skin flaps. If we drew modern animals this way, baboons might look like this.

our cousins are scary! so im toying w/ the idea of werewolves being sorta simian.. baboonish faces, gangly limbs, knuckle walking... but its not something i think i actually have the skill to pull off (not a good balance between monkey and wolf) so it might just stay a concept 😔

Here is a remaster of another prehistoric animal.

The Dinopithecua was a large relative of the baboon that lived 3 million years ago in what is now South Africa and may have been an extremely ferocious and savage killer. It may have also sported similar features to mandrills.
