4.5- and another one for the highlgihts as a overlay layer

5- from there i just delete the solid color layer and disable the greyscale gradient

and bam!

A commission for , this one really stands out to me because of the general atmosphere. Eventhough you can't see whatever Maku's gesturing towards it looks forboding and it was nice for me to work with desaturated colours.

btw the desaturated/lighter-grayish colors are based off on how roguefort's colors look to me because when i color dropped, their skin was more orangey than i expected ( like that's definitely tan-light brown how is that ORANGE??? IM SO SHOCKED )

if your style or filter desaturates, MAKE SURE will still keep the light value DOWN. thus the skintone will still still look key to the original, while also have that “pastel” aesthetic. even darkening the original “color dropped” tone a TINY bit, will make a big difference

It kinda feels like he changed from the classic design to the current/modern.

Both of the first designs have orange fur and his eyes stretched to the forehead. Classic cartoon shape.

The second designs became a desaturated yellow color. And his eyes became more square in shape.
