I dunno, I thought it was a pretty reasonable request. It's not like we've already witnessed what kind of damage can be done when you react emotionally without knowing the whole story. We've already seen lies by omission and cherry-picking to fit an outrage narrative.

I had to make the sister of darkness the hero. Milton did a strange and profound thing to narrative. Well Odysseus is pretty murky too, I guess.
