After Transformers Gen 1 was losing traction in Japan, it was retooled into the "Brave" franchise. Some character designs are even reused in the earlier "Brave" series!

One last one and ill shut up. SEGA's "Congo Bongo" was created by Ikegami who coded Donkey Kong. Nintendo reused their code without asking for Doney Kong Jr and tried to sue Nintendo.
After the fallout they made Cong Bongo with SEGA which is basically DK's lost sister.

An early audio drama revealed that Chika has a habit of making puns and explaining them to people when no one asked. This character trait was forgotten, but like Yohisko/Setsuna, you can argue that this forgotten quirk was reused for Ai, the pun-master from Nijigasaki.
