Recently i've been practicing drawing without the use of lineart.
Months ago i did the third pic to practice lightining and shading. The last one was a practice to try to emulate a certain vintage style, with paper filter, gaussian blurs and sketchy-based shading.

This 1659 cabinet, in the collection of the , is probably one of my all-time favourite 17th-century embroidered boxes. The stitching is impeccable and I'm so taken with the stripy shading. And look at those extremely charming faces!

This is a very different style than I’m used to working in. Trying to stay a little loose and more gestured while using more color blocking instead of texture and shading.

Honestly, both of these pieces were pivotal for me. The elf one was the first digital art piece that I was extremely proud of, and showed that I can make great pieces. While my dryad has helped me solidify my style more, and helped me learned a better way to do my shading.
