Early in development, Rayman 2 was intended to be 2D. Planned to be very similiar to the first game, unlike it's final 3D version. A level from the cancelled prototype can be unlocked in the (final) Rayman 2 PS1 port.

Damned Dragons are the object shapeshifters, who guard and serve Tod. One of those took the shape of Tricky Treasure and got annoyed by the fact that Rayman caught them.🙂

The game takes place between the events of Rayman 1 & 2, it tells the story of Mr. Dark's most volatile creation (Dark Rayman), precisely one year after the evil sorcerer had been defeated at Rayman's hands.
After seeing @soysomnoliento 's ship-fanarts between Ray and Dark Ray (From R-Arena) , I wanted to draw the character encountering Raymesis.
