I really like this Samus concept. I think it does a great job at walking the line between her Fusion Suit and old style Varia. That being said, I'm glad they went with Dread's suit design, and kept it more interesting by making it "new."

If anyone of you want to get into Metroid I highly recommend the Metroid Manga. A must read if you want better context of Prologue of Samus' Story. There are english translation of it already available so don't worry about not being able to find it.
