@leafslug I say join the tumblr community. It ain’t perfect but I like the organization system the tags allow for your blogs a lot. Makes it easy for me to locate my own old art
So to recap, the solution is to:
1) Cull off-screen sprites.
2) Disable rendering on the left 8 pixels of the screen to avoid sprites *popping* in and out.
3) Rest easy knowing that many of your favorite games did this too! 😉
I know it's easy to point fingers at a specific dude and say it's all his fault, but by his own admission he didn't start SatAM and though he claims ownership over a lot of characters, there's orders of magnitude more he has no relation to (including the entire core cast).
