Thought I would share these beautiful oil paintings from one of the older Chinese language Chengjiang books (Chen & Zhou 1997 "Biology of the Chengjiang Fauna"). Guessing they might be new to a few people!

Medium: Acrylic ink, colour pencil, nail polish + fine liner pen

With the waterproof lotus flower leaf as inspiration, I borrowed a leaf fractal and coated the fine liner in coat of nail polish.
