Watched Tori no Uta about a week ago and I thought it was great. Would be interested in reading some analysis on it but I can't seem to find any. I think a lot of it is very interpretative but I do think there is a solid core message/idea. And of course being an art...
So this seems to imply that the main girl in the movie is indeed called "Uta", which is the Japanese word for "song". I guess it wasn't too hard to guess, but I'm still surprised my April Fools' joke is somehow turning into reality LOL
In my Opinion the Name Uta is likely inspired by Utu, the Ancient Mesopotamian Sun God.
