@groove11211 @DieselbrainArt Tracing can also be used to speed up the art process. More and more I'm trying to get in the habit of creating 3D models of environments that I can trace screenshots of to create some really detailed scenes in a fraction of the time it would take me without.

@Sntmntlrestart @wacom I used to feel really creative and now worry my well is dry and everything is derivative... Especially thinking of environments. The one on the left is obviously older and now I struggle to try and create monsters that don't immediately make me think they suck or I've seen before

Humans are the most plentiful species in Vian. Unlike the other species, who tend to have favored environments, humans are incredibly adaptable. This is their strength, in fact. There is no “correct” way to be a human, and from them come some of the bravest explorers and pioneers

Just wrapped up this character design project I did for my master's degree in concept art, and it's going straight to my portfolio. There's celtic folklore, there's music, there are characters, props, creepy environments and backgrounds, and quite a few months of work into it!
