Next chibi is Faye from Fire Emblem! I know she's not very popular but I still like her, perhaps for personal thoughts and extrapolations.

I tried a weird shading technique with her, lots of diagonal lines.

Now, here's what happens when that same image is scaled up massively (400% increase height and width "nearest neighbor" in Photoshop). As you can see it looks super sharp! That's cos there's a lot more wiggle room when you're dealing with rescaling clean raw pixels vs scalines.

I think I just found my new favorite brush for coloring. It’s got a rough edge and a very slight blend, but is mostly a flat brush. Still debating wether to go with the solid black lines and flats or use the watercolor texture and color holds on the lines.

As someone who mostly draws ladies I GET YOU. It's all about basic shapes--squares and rectangles as opposed to soft, curvy lines. Men are more angular, so if you imagine feminine features with more of a sharp edge that should help a bit! Practicing this continually helps too. 💖

I like Attack the Lights outlines. I can't really tell the difference between Attack or Unleash besides maybe color pallete.

Having a lot of fun coloring this one... especially Cassandra's Synthwave hair highlights. Coloring is always my favorite part of drawing, I feel like it's a relaxing reward after finishing the lines.

Trying different ways of shading. The linework seems to always get in my way so I’ve removed most of the lines.

Headphone, Amber and Aura.

Tried a hairstyle variant on Headphone for the heck of it and just felt like drawin the other two as well.

Tried some slightly thinner than usual outlines.
