@Twopaw1 @NonbinarySaru I believe that was an idea posited by Gene Roddenberry and locked into cannon with Mike Okuda adding it to the writers tech manual.
The probable reason for Gene suggesting it was that in the early scripts for #startrek the Enterprise is named for the aircraft carrier Yorktown.

In my opinion, if all this is true, it's a waste, a supposed trilogy where hypotically we finally know the story behind the deities of the Sonic's mentioned in several Genesis/Mega Drive games manual would have been a really great trilogy
