Doing some art to Arapuca, our new Mega Drive game. Hand draw, water colour painting, scan, and them the 16 color pixel art. I take the scan, reduce to 320x224, reduce the colors to 32 colors, then hand picked the palette to reduce to 16, and retouched all adding manual dithering

Never posted a scanned version of this because the original scan sucked. Then an iOS update broke my scanner, then Epson updated the firmware, and now I have an amazing scan! Jun & Koji as they could have been. This bit of fan art is brought to you by the other script I wrote.

i have a large scanner (epson GT-20000) so up to A3 i can scan the whole thing, if it's bigger i'll scan in pieces and use photoshop photomerge, which works scarily well

then spend lots of time locally adjusting levels and clone-tooling out dog hair
