Out of all the sculpting software out there I still find the minimalism of Sculptris to be one of the most appealing. It has just the right toolset for a quick doggo doodle while waiting for a render. What Is your favourite tool?

I agreed with these scores. I give a solid 9 to the game. The way the game is narrated and how the pace get stronger and stronger gives the player a feeling of satisfaction, and the mix of tragic stories with fantasy elements appeals really good to the characters and the game : D
@LonelyGoomba I really don´t like the art direction of DKC3 in general, it, not just Kiddy Kong, all the enemy designs look worse than their DKC-DKC2 iterations, somehow having better 3D modeling tools make the characters less appealing.
ok, lets go a little sassier. i feel like if you turned the long sleeve shirt into a baggy sweater, you can get a lot more visual appeal. maybe instead of shirts, his Thing is sweaters. maybe he actually likes to knit, because hes a cat, and cats like yarn! i dont know, man!

Some people are curious as to how I approach painting so here it is!
Personal tip, try to keep the sketch clean as well as the colors! Sometimes you don't have to make all the base colors perfectly flat, some rough, inconsistent coloring can give it some appeal!

@itmetch OoT Link still has a ton of character. I think they came up with a fun design for Link on the NES, made him taller for ALttP/LA, but Ocarina was their first time saying, “let’s make Link Cool”
They knew what would appeal to gamers in that era, which is why he’s a twink now
