4) Nightmare in early soul calibur games, moving over to Sigfried when they ported Nightmare's moveset to him instead. I love my cheap heavy slap. Poke from afar, run up and do an overhead slash. Horizontal to knock off the edge. Very cheap. Very effective.

The only thing I don't really like about Scarlet & Violet is the new human art style. As relatively rudimentary as they were, I really miss how much personality (with a hint of edge) Sugimori-san's classic artwork had. But Scarlet/Violet feel like the furthest step away.

The combined effect of the scene is a rather intense blend of awkwardness and anxiety that captures the raw edge of emotions that one might expect from any teenager in a similar situation. Of course, Kitty isn’t “any teenager,” so the scene is humanizing of the superhero. 8/10
