Turns out the secret to getting tired of a fanime you've been making for over 7 years is to turn it into a different fanime.
It's been a year since I started this project and I intend to fully animate it (I've even done 3 cuts). I'll be making changes in the direction and animation so it'll be interesting to see how far I've grown in a year.
