I still occasionally use the human head shape to base a pony face on, but nowadays as part of my transformation art, to show pony features emerging off of a human skull- so it's actually supposed to come off as a little uncanny until things smush down all pone-proper.

Practicing painting faces is hard, cause every time it ends up looking a bit wrong or uncanny... lol.

Like if you look at Chihiro, you interpret the drawing of her as "real" because it effectively captures the essence of her character and emotions. The interpretation you do of a drawing is what makes her feel real. It's like the spot right before the uncanny valley drop

The pantomime app can lead to some BIG uncanny valley, but it's also very amusing to plug ocs into... I think this Maddox worked the best

And the actual Maze is all purples, as an in-between area! Yellow lighting is more prominent in the uncanny valley area of the strings being played in the Plexus, but for the most part, it's all purple sh & blue light to ground us, and red on the bits that are explicitly SAO.

simpsons guy shots can feel like such an uncanny valley. if you're very familiar with how the simpsons looks there's just a slight discomfort with how some shots are composed or how some characters look idling.

i do like the slight changes in the griffins' color palettes though

// misgendering

report this account for targeted harassment against me, they stalked my profile, misgendered me, made fun of what I look like, lied about me, and made fun of my art. All because I said that "uncanny valley in Roblox" looked ugly. the @ is @/allison_rblx . thanks.
