A piece from "Contort," a set of 3D textures created through an experimental process. Black and white paintings were manipulated in 3D software and ambient lighting was then added resulting in pieces that are moody, fluid and highly intricate.

SKETCH in biro on A4 copy paper. LAYOUT, PENCILS AND INKS drawn same size with brush pen on tracing paper. Some minor corrections done digitally at each stage to help. COLOUR created digitally and a manipulated spangled background reference added.

Initial doodle. Composition edit once I thought it had legs to go somewhere. Inks & colours. Since I thought of it as a cover for I threw in the Title Font.

Be nice if it was an actual cover. Maybe some day.
