It can't be compared to the peascod armor of the early modern era because those are not skintight either, with a flare at the front; they do not create a forward facing concave shape to catch blows; armor is always tighter at the waist to preserve the natural range of motion.

Adding on, 2012 Slash is either an Alligator Snapping Turtle or an Asian Spiny Turtle! However, I think Alligator Snapping Turtle is more fitting, though Asian Spiny Turtle resembles Spike!

Next up are the 2012 Turtles! Donnie says it himself in show that they are either diamondback terrapins (1) or Common Box Turtles (2), but he is almost certain they're diamondbacks and highly doubts they're box. Diamondback makes much more sense to me due to their spots + shells.
