Nelson Yomtov, the colourist who worked on every issue of the Marvel US TF comic, had a fondness for colouring group scenes or backgrounds in block colours, which often made his work the subject of criticism among contemporary fans.

From all this, Aquarelle was born. A culmination of watercolour mimicry, canvas texture, pigment mixing and 3D modelling.

Each output uses only 3 "primary" colours out of 10. This means there are total of 120 possible different palettes (although some are similar). Enjoy!

Time to finally upload my third Drawtober2022 entry for "Spellbook Apprentice".
Also adding the earlier stages because why not. As you can see, I did the values in blue ink first before going in with my watercolours. Might play with that technique more, but not on this paper.

I also like to keep their palettes limited to usually no more than 3-4 colours, as less has always been more for me and makes for better more appealing designs🤍
Fun fact: my Character Ordeal here is literally I inspired by minecraft, specifically eye of ender and the end gateway
