Here are more samples of my art when I put it in grayscale mode vs colored. Checking values is so important to me that I put a filter on top of everything starting from just the composition and check it every step of the way.

So I go back to my picture, add lights, some rim lights on Hori's and Buzen's hair , and a few strands to make them pop out more. After which I turned them in grayscale again. and they pop out a bit better this time around!
