Still my fav Pokémon games ever made and the franchise just peaked with Gen 6, even outside of the game. Also the first game I bought off my own money :)
Other than that, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance was an amazing game! Mario 3D World is cool too.

Memes.... The DNA of the soul. Jokes aside, great game with a rewarding parry system. Takes a bit to get used to but super fun and game has a decent pacing. fun to replay after a good leave alone.
2013: Honourable mention to Rayman Legends for being a legitimately great couch co-op game but, if you can get used to the parrying system, MGR is just such a fuckin Experience. Ultraviolence! Feelings! Every boss has their own fake Linkin Park song explaining their motivations!
2013: While it wasn't my first or my favourite Fire Emblem (Sacred Stones my beloved), I defo love this one a lot and imo it hasn't ever come close to being topped since. For me, just the right balance of accessibility and difficulty and Lucina will always be in my heart
