2011: skyward sword. i don't need to explain.
also honourable mention to dark souls but i'm not finished yet --
2011: okay listen i've been going by the NA release date for most things bc that's when i could get my paws on them but. this thread would not be complete without the last story ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES OF ALL TIME AND UNDERRATED AS FUCK!!
2011: The binding of Isaac (Flash)
This is where my 500 hour+ obession began, what seemed to be a silly little gross-out humor zelda 1 throwback of sorts would become a genre defining hit. prepare for it to feel WEIRD if you go back to it post rebirth now though.
2011:
inFamous 2
One of the best superhero games of all time, no doubt.
Also I should have put infamous second son as my 2014 entry because that game made me want to move to Seattle
2011: Dark Souls. i tried this when it came out and bounced off it SO hard... it took me like 5 more years to give fromsoft games another shot but goddamn i'm so glad i did. i played this after beating Sekiro and Bloodborne lol so i thought this would feel dated but it was BETTER
2011:
Now, you'd think I'd put Minecraft here. But nope, I personally count that as being released waaaay further back (and just got a ton of content updates over the years)
Instead, I'm putting what people frequently call "2D Minecraft" here. :3c
2011: Devil Survivor Overclocked
It’s just better than the original!
2011: I will die on the hill that 2011 is this best year we've had for anime so far this millennium. Anyway Penguindrum is my pick. Ruined my Christmas Eve when the finale aired, 10/10 show.
2011: The Binding of Isaac
This game contains so many elements and themes that would normally completely repel me from a game, but something about its style made all its vile monsters and grim plot just palatable enough for me to become addicted to this game for countless hours.
2014: dark souls 2 >:)
2013: pikmin 3!!
2012: persona 4 golden
2011: DARK SOULS!!!
2012: ParaNorman, dir Chris Butler and Sam Fell
2011: Attack the Block, dir. Joe Cornish
2010: MegaMind, dir Tom McGrath
2013: Now you see me and Saving Mr. Banks
2012: The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey
2011: The Three Musketeers
2014: Golden Kamuy
2013: Innocent
2012: Orange
2011: Murasakiiro no Qualia
2011: Scream 4/ Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Part 2 - Scream 4 is a great sequel to the original film and is Wes Craven doing his thing, and harry Potter Deathly Hallows part 2 is like a fucking wizard war and has these big emotional scenes, it's just a wonderful time.
2011: cabin in the woods. campy horror movies are the BEST! one of my fav movies ever
